Lore
The story finds place thousand years before Skyrim, with the empire seat empty, three factions arise that want to claim this seat.
- Daggerfall Covenant
- Ebonheart Pact
- Aldmeri Dominion
Each one of these factions includes 3 different races.
High Rock, Sentinel, and Orsinium stand as one, united under the rule of the High King in Wayrest.
Valenwood and Elsweyr have forged an alliance with Summerset.
Black Marsh, Morrowind, and Skyrim have joined forces and formed their own uneasy pact:
Daggerfall covenant includes; Breton, Redguard and Orc.
Ebonheart Pact includes; Nord, Dark Elf, Argonian.
Aldmeri Dominion includes; High Elf, Wood Elf, Khajit.
Each race has his own story and each race forfills their storyline in the game.
Charactaristics such as great blacksmithing skill for Orcs is found back in the game.
You fight against the imperial army and against the other 2 factions to gain control over The Imperial city and the White Gold tower.
Why is Elder Scrolls Online different from other role playing games?
The most fun part of this online game is that YOU decide how to play it, how to experience it.
Everyone familiar with Elder Scroll games know that all titles are designed to make people explore and do that their own way.
You can use the character configuration, use a classtype and all kinds of different abillities to make the game yours.
Such as: Playing a spellcaster with a two handed sword in his hands, or a sneaking healing kind of player.
All kinds of playstyles are all free to chose from such as armor type, weapon type.
You also have special perks.
Such as turning into a werewolf, or into a vampire and even more options are to chose from.
The awesome thing about this is, these abillities are copied from precious titles of Elder Scrolls which will make you feel more involved from other titles.
Oblivion found place in a province inside Tamriel and so did Skyrim so where is this game located at this time?
Well i am proud to say that this game is played all over Tamriel and it doesn't even stop there.
All the books found in the game of Oblivion and Skryim and so on, are used in this game to design and create the other continents.
Online, you mean me playing on one realm and all of my friends on the other?
This is actually a great topic to talk about.
Elder Scrolls developers have chosen a new kind of realm: "The Megaserver".
This concept brings the game all in 1 server.
Now this might make you a little bit sceptical and remain you with questions like how will my game run smoothly with everyone at one server?
Basicly it works like this:
The characters and environment are created so that the game doesn't require that much of memory such as other RPG's.
While remaining the artstyle they have used in previous titles it will feel familliar for all of the Elder Scroll Fans and it will conquer all hearts who haven't yet.
The game is smart with friends and it will put you together with them while playing.
One of the big differences between Elder Scrolls online and other RPG's is that you are not competing over resources like armor, weapons etc.
You all fight together to overcome the achievement of a battle inside a dungeon.
Once you hit level 50, the world opens up with all kinds of things to do such as:
- Overcome Heroic dungeons
- Play Player versus Player
- Explore more of the world and find your point of interest.
Beta?! Where can i sign up?!
The beta is going online and you can sign up for a key.
It's always fingers crossed to get one of the keys so you can play the Beta, but i asure you, once you do get in, its definately worth the try!
